23 August 2023 CPC Training Updates: Transition Period Extended for CPC31511 Certificate III in Formwork/Falsework!
The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) has extended the transition period for the CPC31511 Certificate III in Formwork/Falsework qualification. This CPC training update decided upon after detailed discussions with related authorities, aims to provide a hassle-free transition for students.
ASQA, responsible for upholding educational standards, sometimes allows transition periods longer than those set out in the 2015 Standards for Registered Training Organisations. With this in mind, the current training, assessment, and certification period for the CPC31511 qualification has been extended to 31 December 2024.
ASQA meticulously reviews every application for an extension to ensure it aligns with the student’s best interests, protecting their educational progress.
Opportunities During This Extended Transition
During this extended phase, the CPC31511 qualification will continue to be in the scope of registration of registered training organisations (RTOs) in Australia. This CPC training update guarantees students ongoing access to top-tier education and training as they navigate this transition.
Learners considering the CPC31511 Certificate III in Formwork/Falsework can still enrol during this extended period. But it’s crucial to note that all students—both existing and newcomers—must either complete this qualification or switch to the replacement course by the end of the transition period.
This decision was a collaborative effort involving ASQA, the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority and the Training Accreditation Council of Western Australia, reflecting the dedication of regulatory bodies to thoughtful and comprehensive updates in the CPC training package.
09 May 2023 CPC Training Package Updates: Extended Transition Period for the CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry
ASQA (Australian Skills Quality Authority) has extended the transition period for the CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry of the CPC (Construction, Plumbing, and Services) training package until 31 July 2023. This CPC training package update means that registered training organisations (RTOs) can continue to provide training and certifications for this unit.
To prevent any disadvantage to learners, ASQA granted an extended transition period for the unit of competency. The extension for CPCCWHS1001 is meant to ensure that learners have enough time to complete the required training and meet the industry health and safety standards. CPCCWHS1001 is equivalent to CPCWHS1001, which has replaced it.
ASQA evaluates each request on its merit and considers the potential impact on learners before making a decision.
