Javier is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in vocational training and education. With a track record of designing and delivering more than 500 training programs worldwide, he is an expert in instructional design, competency-based education, policy, quality management, and compliance. As Principal Consultant for Insources Group, Amaro provides advice and consulting services in training and education policy and management. He has also authored over 200 articles and white papers and has been a featured speaker at many international conferences and events.

CHRISTINA BOLGER – ASQA Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Christina is a leader in the VET industry with many years of experience working in policy and reform to support continuous improvement to enhance the sector. Bolger’s states on her LinkedIn that “to achieve results of high public value, organisations must position their contribution in the context of broader results.” Bolger elaborates, saying she is “motivated by turning good ideas into action and leading collaborative work to address policy challenges.”

TROY WILLIAMS – Chief Executive, Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia

Troy is the CEO of the Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA), appointed in 2018, and his role involves policy advocacy, and advocating for the interests of Australia’s independent skills training and higher education providers. He is also a member of multiple Australian Government committees that are dedicated to tertiary education, and he is highly regarded by both parliamentary and departmental stakeholders for his expertise in providing policy advice.

HON. BRENDAN O’CONNOR MP – Minister for Skills and Training

Hon. Brendan O’Connor MP is the Minister for Skills and Training in the Albanese Labor Government. His belief in fairness and equal opportunity led him to begin his career in a union before being elected to parliament in 2001 and serving in various portfolios. As Minister for Employment Participation, he reformed the employment services system, and as Minister for Home Affairs, he reformed Australia’s anti-dumping regime to encourage fair and equitable business practices. He has also served as Shadow Minister for Employment and Industrial Relations and Shadow Minister for Defence. O’Connor has degrees in Arts and Law from Monash University and completed Harvard University’s Trade Union Program.

KAREN KERR – ASQA Director Regulatory Policy and Engagement

Karen works at the Australian Skills Quality Authority in Sydney as an Assistant Director in the Regulatory Policy team.

DR. MO KADER – Managing Director, Consultica Worldwide Management Consultants

With 23 years of experience under his belt, Dr. Kader is a true veteran in the field of education and entrepreneurship and is currently working in the role of the Managing Director of Consultica Worldwide Management Consultants. MARC RATCLIFFE – CEO Of MRWED Australia

Peter is an Education Law and Corporate Governance expert who has worked with over one hundred Registered Training Organisations and Higher Education Providers, providing legal and governance advice to companies and educational institutions. He also actively volunteers as a director on various boards and provides pro-bono legal assistance to new and emerging communities. In recognition of his community work, Peter was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2020.

MICHAEL HARTMAN – CEO Of Skills Insight, Jobs and Skills Council

Michael Hartman is the CEO of Skills Insight – one of the latest Jobs and Skills Councils (JSCs) established by the Government, set to launch in 2023. SERRYN O’REGAN – Executive Manager of Evolve College

Serryn O’Regan is a highly experienced senior lawyer who has worked on numerous large corporate deals and joint ventures for multinational corporate groups. She also leads a global charitable campaign and holds various positions in education and law in Australia.
